
Biomed Supervisor - Biomedical Engineering

- Oversee and manage a team of Biomed Technicians, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to perform their job duties.
- Monitor and maintain the safe and efficient operation of all medical equipment across the network of facilities.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the maintenance and repair of medical equipment.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and effective repairs and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Train and educate staff on the proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of equipment and parts.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and incorporate new technologies into the biomedical engineering program.
- Create and maintain a budget for the department, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial goals.
- Serve as a liaison between the Biomedical Engineering department and other departments within the network regarding equipment needs and issues.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and guidance to Biomed Technicians to promote their professional development.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication within the department.
- Stay informed on industry regulations and standards and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide timely and accurate reports to upper management on the department's operations and performance.
- Continuously strive to improve patient care and satisfaction through the proper maintenance and functioning of medical equipment.
Bachelor's Degree In Biomedical Engineering Or Related Field
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Supervisory Role Within A Healthcare Setting
Knowledge Of Medical Equipment And Technology, Including Troubleshooting And Maintenance
Strong Leadership Skills And Ability To Manage A Team Effectively
Familiarity With Relevant Regulations And Standards, Such As Fda And Joint Commission Requirements
