If so, Kettering Health Network is seeking a talented Periop Coordinator to join our team!As the Periop Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of surgical services at our facilities. You will work closely with our surgical team to coordinate patient care, manage schedules, and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety. We are looking for a driven and dedicated individual who is committed to providing exceptional patient experiences.To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in perioperative services and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field is preferred.   1. Coordinate and manage all aspects of perioperative processes, including scheduling, patient care, and quality and safety standards.
  2. Work closely with surgical team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of surgical services.
  3. Maintain and update patient records and ensure accuracy and completeness.
  4. Monitor and track surgical supply inventory and order necessary supplies as needed.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care throughout the perioperative process.
  6. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of surgical services.
  7. Provide support and guidance to perioperative staff to ensure adherence to established protocols and standards.
  8. Serve as a liaison between surgical team and other departments to facilitate communication and coordination of care.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with data collection and analysis.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in perioperative services and incorporate them into daily operations.
  11. Train and educate new staff members on perioperative processes and protocols.
  12. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote teamwork and enhance patient care.
  13. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide information and address any concerns.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  15. Attend and participate in meetings and conferences related to perioperative services.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field.

  • Current Licensure As A Registered Nurse In The State Of Ohio.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Perioperative Nursing, With Leadership Experience Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures And Equipment, As Well As Infection Control And Patient Safety Protocols.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Coordinate And Lead A Team.
