We are currently seeking a Vice President of Payor Contracting to lead our payor contracting team and develop strategic partnerships with insurance companies to ensure our patients have access to quality, affordable care.   1. Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives for payor contracting to support the financial goals of the organization.
  2. Lead and manage the payor contracting team, setting clear objectives and providing support and guidance to ensure successful execution of contracts.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with insurance companies to negotiate contracts that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  4. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in healthcare policies to inform contracting strategies and ensure compliance.
  5. Analyze and monitor payor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for contract modifications.
  6. Collaborate with internal departments, including finance and revenue cycle, to ensure efficient and effective management of payor contracts.
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians and other healthcare providers, to support the negotiation and management of contracts.
  8. Oversee the review and approval process for new payor contracts and contract amendments.
  9. Ensure timely and accurate communication of contract terms and changes to relevant stakeholders.
  10. Work closely with the executive team to develop and maintain a strong understanding of the organization's mission, vision, and values, and uphold these in all payor contracting activities.
  11. Represent the organization in meetings and negotiations with payors, advocating for the best interests of the organization and its patients.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve payor contracting processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  13. Provide regular updates and reports to the executive team and board of directors on payor contracting performance and strategies.
  14. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the payor contracting team and across the organization.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional patient experiences and ensuring access to quality, affordable healthcare for the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Negotiating Payor Contracts: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 7-10 Years Of Experience In Negotiating Payor Contracts With Various Insurance Companies. They Should Be Well-Versed In Contract Language, Reimbursement Rates, And Industry Trends.

  • Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Finance And Reimbursement: A Successful Vice President Of Payor Contracting Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Healthcare Finance And Reimbursement Models. They Should Be Able To Analyze Financial Data And Make Strategic Decisions To Optimize Reimbursement For The Organization.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Key Leader In The Organization, The Vice President Of Payor Contracting Will Be Responsible For Building And Maintaining Relationships With Payors. They Should Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Negotiate And Collaborate With Payors And Other Stakeholders.

  • Leadership And Team Management Experience: This Role Requires Strong Leadership Skills To Oversee A Team Of Payor Contracting Professionals. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In Managing A Team And Fostering A Collaborative And High-Performing Work Environment.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Compliance: The Healthcare Industry Is Highly Regulated, And It Is Crucial For The Vice President Of Payor Contracting To Have A Thorough Understanding Of Laws, Regulations, And Compliance Requirements Related To Payor Contracting. They Should Also Have Experience In Implementing And Monitoring Compliance Programs Within An Organization.
