User Researcher
We are looking for a Senior User Researcher who is a vocal learner advocate, passionate about inclusive and equitable education, and has a track record of executing highly impactful research with cross-functional teams. You will help shape the future of education at Khan Academy by leveraging a wide variety of research methods, working in lockstep with our product teams to define, validate, and ship effective and engaging experiences. You’ve designed and led generative and evaluative research from discovery to delivery, using a range of methods (such as remote and in-person interviews, contextual inquiry, journey mapping, participatory design, concept testing, usability testing, surveys, etc). You model empathy for the users we build for: educators and students working in resource-constrained environments in historically under-resourced communities.
Experience in educational technology (edtech) or experience teaching is a plus
Able to balance the immediate tactical needs of helping deliver and ship features with scouting ahead for what’s next
Experience to help shape our user research program and ecosystem, starting with a central research repository that can self-serve insights across the org
Experience with SQL, remote testing tools, or conducting research with youth is a plus
