
Infection Control/ Employee Health Nurse

- Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures in accordance with CDC guidelines and best practices.
- Conduct ongoing surveillance and analysis of infection data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to educate and train on infection control measures and protocols.
- Perform regular audits and assessments of infection control practices and make recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging infectious diseases and their prevention methods.
- Serve as a resource for staff and patients on infection control and employee health related issues.
- Investigate and report any suspected cases of communicable diseases to appropriate authorities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local health departments and other healthcare facilities to share best practices and coordinate response to outbreaks.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to infection control and employee health.
- Administer and track employee health screenings and vaccinations.
- Collaborate with HR and management to develop and implement employee health and wellness programs.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop prevention strategies for workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Monitor and track employee illness and injury data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee health records.
- Participate in emergency preparedness and response activities related to infectious diseases.
- Communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with industry standards and best practices.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required For This Role To Ensure A Strong Foundation In Nursing Principles And Practices.
Registered Nurse (Rn) License: A Current And Valid Rn License Is A Must For An Infection Control/ Employee Health Nurse At Kindred Healthcare.
Certification In Infection Control (Cic): Candidates Must Have A Current Certification In Infection Control (Cic) From The Certification Board Of Infection Control And Epidemiology (Cbic).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Infection Control: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Infection Control, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: Familiarity With Local, State, And Federal Regulations Related To Infection Control And Employee Health Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Osha, Cdc, And Cms Guidelines.
