In this role, you will play a crucial role in closely monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.   1. Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms of patients using various monitoring systems.
  2. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient vitals and cardiac rhythms.
  3. Collaborate with medical team to identify and report any changes or abnormalities in patient's cardiac rhythms.
  4. Respond promptly to alarms and notify appropriate medical personnel of any urgent situations.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding cardiac monitoring procedures and any concerns or changes in their condition.
  6. Adhere to all hospital policies and protocols related to cardiac monitoring and patient safety.
  7. Troubleshoot any technical issues with monitoring equipment and report any malfunctions or needed repairs.
  8. Stay updated on current trends and best practices in cardiac monitoring and patient care.
  9. Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high-stress situations.
  10. Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during monitoring procedures.
  11. Work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  12. Adhere to all patient confidentiality and privacy regulations.
  13. Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings as required.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification In Cardiac Monitoring: A Monitor Technician - Nights At Kindred Healthcare Must Have A Current Certification In Cardiac Monitoring, Such As A Certified Cardiographic Technician (Cct) Or Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (Crat).

  • Proficiency In Ekg Interpretation: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Ekg Interpretation In Order To Identify And Report Abnormal Cardiac Rhythms Accurately.

  • Experience With Telemetry Monitoring Systems: Kindred Healthcare Requires Its Monitor Technicians To Have Experience With Telemetry Monitoring Systems, Such As Philips Intellivue Or Ge Healthcare Apexpro, To Monitor Multiple Patients Simultaneously.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: As A Monitor Technician, It Is Crucial To Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology To Communicate Effectively With Healthcare Professionals And Accurately Document Patient Information.

  • Ability To Work Nights And Weekends: This Position Requires Working Night Shifts And Weekends, So Candidates Must Have The Flexibility To Work Outside Of Traditional Business Hours. Additionally, They May Be Required To Work On-Call Shifts And Overtime As Needed.
