  1. Perform respiratory assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with respiratory disorders.
  2. Administer respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, medication administration, and chest physiotherapy, as prescribed by physicians.
  3. Monitor patients' respiratory status and respond to changes in condition, providing appropriate interventions and communicating with the healthcare team.
  4. Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques, disease management, and equipment usage.
  5. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and progress.
  7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards related to respiratory care.
  8. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans.
  9. Stay current with advancements and best practices in respiratory therapy through continuing education and professional development.
  10. Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and excellent communication skills in interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  11. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field: A Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Is Typically Required For A Rrt Position At Kindred Healthcare. This Degree Provides A Strong Foundation In The Principles And Practices Of Respiratory Care.

  • Current Rrt Credential From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc): Kindred Healthcare Requires All Respiratory Therapists To Hold A Current Rrt Credential From The Nbrc. This Credential Demonstrates A High Level Of Competence And Proficiency In The Field Of Respiratory Therapy.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Hospital Setting: Kindred Healthcare Prefers Candidates With At Least 2 Years Of Experience In A Hospital Setting. This Experience Allows The Rrt To Be Familiar With Various Respiratory Care Equipment And Procedures, As Well As The Dynamics Of A Hospital Environment.

  • State Licensure As A Respiratory Therapist: All Candidates For The Rrt Position At Kindred Healthcare Must Hold A Current State Licensure As A Respiratory Therapist. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Educational And Clinical Requirements Set By The State.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: As A Respiratory Therapist At Kindred Healthcare, The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Essential. Rrts Must Also Possess Strong Critical Thinking Skills To Make Quick And Accurate Decisions In Emergency Situations.
