  2. Communicate with insurance companies to obtain necessary information and documentation.
  3. Review and update patient records with insurance information and any changes in coverage or benefits.
  4. Stay up-to-date on insurance policies, regulations, and changes in the healthcare industry.
  5. Collaborate with other departments, such as billing and coding, to ensure accurate and timely processing of insurance claims.
  6. Educate patients on their insurance coverage and benefits, including any out-of-pocket costs.
  7. Assist patients with any questions or concerns related to insurance coverage and billing.
  8. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information.
  9. Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues with insurance coverage in a timely manner.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to patients and insurance companies, ensuring a positive experience for all parties involved.
  11. Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure proper authorization and documentation for insurance coverage.
  12. Utilize computer systems and software to accurately document and track insurance verification processes.
  13. Serve as a resource for colleagues and provide training or guidance on insurance verification processes and procedures.
  14. Meet productivity and accuracy standards set by the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience: A Senior Insurance Verification Specialist At Kindred Healthcare Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Insurance Verification And Authorization Processes. This Experience Should Include Working With Various Insurance Companies, Knowledge Of Different Insurance Plans, And Understanding Of Medical Terminology.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Insurance Regulations: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Insurance Regulations, Including Medicare, Medicaid, And Commercial Insurance Requirements.   • Attention To Detail: Insurance Verification Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail. The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Accurately Verifying Insurance Information, Identifying Discrepancies, And Resolving Any Issues That May Arise.
