Microbiology Technologist - PRN

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Microbiology Technologist to join our LabCorp team on a PRN basis. This role is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced and collaborative laboratory environment and make a positive impact on patient care.The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Microbiology, or a laboratory science-related field, as well as a minimum of 3 years of experience in a high complexity laboratory. In addition, they must be certified as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.In this role, you will utilize your clinical laboratory expertise to ensure the accuracy and timely completion of laboratory assays and tests, while contributing to the team's success in meeting quality standards and patient care objectives. Responsibilities: • Ensure the accuracy and timely completion of laboratory assays and tests • Utilize clinical laboratory expertise to ensure and maintain the quality standards of the laboratory • Develop and execute protocols for laboratory tests and procedures • Maintain records of laboratory test results • Monitor and review laboratory results for accuracy and validity • Monitor quality control measures and evaluate results • Assist in the development of new laboratory methods and processes • Provide technical advice to laboratory staff • Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies • Maintain a safe and clean work environment • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and company policies and procedures • Participate in laboratory meetings and professional development activities
