
Cardiac Exercise Physiologist
At Legacy Health, we are looking for a motivated and passionate Cardiac Exercise Physiologist to join our team and provide patient-centered care in our Cardiac Rehabilitation program. The ideal candidate for this position will possess the necessary qualifications and experience to make a positive impact on our program while providing excellent patient care.We seek an individual who is a compassionate healthcare professional, with strong interpersonal skills and the enthusiasm to help others improve their health. The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or a related field, as well as certification from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) or the American Society of Exercise Physiologists (ASEP). Advanced certification as an Exercise Specialist (ACSM-ES) or as an Exercise Physiologist (ASEP-EP) is highly desirable. In addition, the candidate should have a minimum of two years of experience in a cardiac rehabilitation and/or exercise physiology setting.
Responsibilities for a Cardiac Exercise Physiologist:
- Provide patient-centered care in the Cardiac Rehabilitation program.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the enthusiasm to help others improve their health.
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or a related field, as well as certification from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) or the American Society of Exercise Physiologists (ASEP).
- Possess advanced certification as an Exercise Specialist (ACSM-ES) or as an Exercise Physiologist (ASEP-EP).
- Have a minimum of two years of experience in a cardiac rehabilitation and/or exercise physiology setting.
- Develop and implement exercise plans and programs tailored to meet the individual needs of patients.
- Monitor patients' heart rates, blood pressures, and other relevant indicators during exercise.
- Ensure the safety of patients during exercise and activities.
- Educate patients on exercise-related topics, such as nutrition, weight management, and lifestyle modifications.
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
