Job Description

Do you have a strong background in prenatal education and a desire to make a positive impact in your community? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Health Educator - Prenatal Education at Legacy Health. We are seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate individual to join our team and provide prenatal education to expecting mothers and their families. As a Health Educator, you will play a vital role in promoting healthy pregnancies and supporting mothers throughout their prenatal journey.   1. Develop and implement comprehensive prenatal education programs and curriculum for expecting mothers and their families.
  2. Conduct individual and group education sessions, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and materials.
  3. Serve as a knowledgeable resource for pregnant women and their families, providing accurate information and addressing any concerns or questions.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for pregnant women.
  5. Continuously assess and evaluate the effectiveness of prenatal education programs, making necessary adjustments to meet the needs of the community.
  6. Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in prenatal education and incorporate them into program development.
  7. Maintain accurate records and documentation of education sessions and participant progress.
  8. Promote and market prenatal education programs to the community, including partnerships with local organizations and outreach events.
  9. Provide support and guidance to expecting mothers, promoting self-care and healthy behaviors during pregnancy.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations while working with sensitive health information.
  11. Attend and participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
  12. Uphold the mission, values, and standards of Legacy Health while representing the organization in a professional and compassionate manner.
  13. Act as an advocate for pregnant women, ensuring they have the necessary resources and information to make informed decisions about their health and the health of their baby.
  14. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community resources to address any barriers to accessing prenatal care and education.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities to improve prenatal education programs and processes, incorporating feedback from participants and team members.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Public Health, Health Education, Or A Related Field.

  • Certified Health Education Specialist (Ches) Credential Or Equivalent.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Prenatal Education Or A Related Field.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Prenatal Care, Childbirth, And Postpartum Care.

  • Excellent Communication And Teaching Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Educate And Engage Diverse Populations.
