  1. Perform all tasks with a focus on patient safety and comfort, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all patients.
  2. Assist the physicians and nurses in providing efficient and high-quality care to patients in the Cardiology department.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, vital signs, and test results.
  4. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including taking and recording measurements and obtaining specimens.
  5. Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
  6. Monitor patients for any changes in condition and report to physicians as needed.
  7. Handle all patient inquiries and concerns in a professional, compassionate, and timely manner.
  8. Assist with scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and obtaining authorizations for procedures.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all medical equipment is properly sterilized and stocked.
  10. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  11. Attend and participate in team meetings and trainings to stay updated on any changes in protocols or procedures.
  12. Continuously seek to improve and enhance patient care by staying current on industry advancements and best practices.
  13. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless and efficient patient care.
  14. Adhere to all Legacy Health policies and procedures, including safety protocols and infection control measures.
  15. Embody the values of Legacy Health and act as a positive representative of the organization at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: The Candidate Should Have Completed A Program That Is Accredited By The Commission On Accreditation Of Allied Health Education Programs (Caahep) Or The Accrediting Bureau Of Health Education Schools (Abhes). This Ensures That The Candidate Has Received Proper Training And Education In Medical Assisting.

  • Certification As A Medical Assistant: Legacy Health Prefers Candidates Who Are Certified As A Medical Assistant By A Recognized Organization Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt).

  • Experience In A Cardiology Setting: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Cardiology Clinic Or Hospital. This Will Demonstrate Their Knowledge And Understanding Of Cardiology Procedures, Equipment, And Terminology.

  • Knowledge Of Electronic Health Records (Ehr): Legacy Health Utilizes Electronic Health Records, So The Candidate Should Have Experience Working With Ehr Systems. This Includes Knowledge Of How To Input Patient Information, Schedule Appointments, And Retrieve Medical Records.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Medical Assistant In Cardiology, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, They Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate With Different Individuals And Build Relationships With Patients.
