- Assist healthcare providers in delivering high-quality care to female patients.
- Maintain a welcoming and compassionate atmosphere for patients.
- Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
- Prepare exam rooms and equipment for patient visits.
- Take patient vitals and medical history accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with procedures as directed by healthcare providers.
- Educate patients on health-related topics and provide resources for further information.
- Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and common areas.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other team members.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills related to women's health.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients during appointments.
- Uphold Legacy Health's mission and values in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in healthcare.
- Attend meetings and trainings as required.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Certification: A Medical Assistant - Women's Health At Legacy Health Should Be Certified Through An Accredited Program Such As The Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma) Certification.
Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, With A Preference For Experience In Women's Health Or Gynecology.
Knowledge Of Women's Health Procedures: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Women's Health Procedures And Terminology, Including Pap Smears, Breast Exams, And Birth Control Options.
Communication Skills: Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role, As Medical Assistants Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Attention To Detail: Accuracy And Attention To Detail Are Critical In A Women's Health Setting, Where Even Small Errors Can Have Significant Consequences. Candidates Should Have A Strong Eye For Detail And Be Able To Follow Protocols And Procedures Precisely.
