Job Description

As a Pharmacist in Legacy Health's Emergency Department, you will be an integral part of the healthcare team, responsible for providing high quality pharmaceutical care to our patients. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, superb organizational abilities, and an outstanding ability to work collaboratively with colleagues. To be qualified for this role, you must have a valid Pharmacy license in the State of Oregon, and at least 3 years of experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting. Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure accurate and timely dispensing of pharmaceuticals in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  2. Monitor and evaluate patient medication therapies, provide drug information and advice to medical staff, and interact with patients to ensure the appropriate use of medications.
  3. Develop, implement, and maintain systems and policies for drug inventory control, cost containment, and quality assurance.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide optimal care to patients.
  5. Maintain current knowledge of new medications and therapies.
  6. Educate staff and patients on the safe and effective use of medications.
  7. Ensure the security of pharmacy records and stock.
  8. Participate in departmental meetings and other professional activities.
