Job Description

At Legacy Health, we are looking for an experienced Pediatric ICU Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmacy services to our pediatric patients and their families. This position requires exceptional clinical knowledge and the ability to independently practice in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a compassionate and motivated individual with excellent communication and customer service skills. To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of pediatric medications, their interactions and the impact of various treatments.We are looking for someone with:• A PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy• A valid license to practice pharmacy in Oregon• A minimum of one year of experience in pediatric critical care• A commitment to delivering high-quality care and customer service• Strong knowledge of pharmacology and medication safety• The ability to work independently and collaboratively• Excellent communication and organizational skills• A positive attitude and strong work ethic

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive pharmacy services to pediatric patients and their families, including ordering, dispensing, and monitoring medications.
  2. Interpret physician orders and ensure they are accurately processed in a timely manner.
  3. Counsel patients and families on medication usage and side effects.
  4. Maintain current knowledge of medications, their interactions, and the impact of various treatments.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  6. Develop and implement medication safety protocols.
  7. Monitor and assess patient response to medications.
  8. Prepare and deliver presentations on pediatric pharmacology.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  10. Provide excellent customer service.
