  1. Accurately and efficiently prepare and distribute medication to patients in a timely manner.
  2. Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure all orders are correctly filled and labeled.
  3. Comply with all state and federal laws and regulations regarding medication handling and distribution.
  4. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication dosage, interactions, and patient safety.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent contamination and ensure safety.
  6. Handle and store medication and pharmaceutical supplies in accordance with industry standards.
  7. Utilize technology and computer systems to accurately track and document medication inventory and dispensing.
  8. Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients and their families, providing exceptional customer service.
  9. Keep up-to-date with industry developments and participate in ongoing training and education opportunities.
  10. Adhere to strict confidentiality and privacy guidelines to protect patient information.
  11. Handle and resolve any patient or physician inquiries or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  12. Maintain accurate records and perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy.
  13. Identify and report any potential medication errors or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  14. Assist in maintaining a safe and secure working environment by following all safety protocols and procedures.
  15. Complete any other duties as assigned by the supervising pharmacist or pharmacy manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht): A Valid Cpht Certification From An Accredited Organization, Such As The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb), Is A Crucial Qualification For An Inpatient Pharmacy Technician Position At Legacy Health.

  • Experience In An Inpatient Setting: Previous Experience Working In An Inpatient Pharmacy Setting Is Highly Desirable For This Role. Candidates With Experience In Medication Reconciliation, Sterile Compounding, And Inventory Management In A Hospital Pharmacy Will Be Given Preference.

  • Knowledge Of Pharmacy Law And Regulations: A Thorough Understanding Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Pharmacy Operations Is Essential For A Pharmacy Technician In An Inpatient Setting. This Includes Knowledge Of Controlled Substances, Medication Storage And Handling, And Drug Distribution Systems.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Inpatient Pharmacy Technicians At Legacy Health Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Other Pharmacy Staff. This Includes The Ability To Explain Medication Instructions And Dosage To Patients And Address Any Concerns They May Have.

  • Attention To Detail And Accuracy: An Inpatient Pharmacy Technician Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And A Commitment To Accuracy In All Aspects Of Their Work. This Includes Verifying Medication Orders, Preparing And Labeling Medications, And Maintaining Accurate And Up-To-Date Patient Records.
