- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine the communication and swallowing needs of patients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Implement evidence-based interventions and techniques to improve patients' communication and swallowing abilities.
- Monitor and document progress of patients throughout their treatment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to improve communication and swallowing.
- Stay current with advancements and changes in the field of speech language pathology.

Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology: Candidates For A Speech Language Pathologist - Acute Care Position At Legacy Health Must Possess A Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology From An Accredited Institution.
Current State Licensure: Applicants Must Hold A Current And Valid License To Practice As A Speech-Language Pathologist In The State Of Oregon.
Certification From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha): Asha Certification Is Highly Preferred For This Role And May Be Required For Certain Positions Within The Acute Care Setting.
Clinical Experience In An Acute Care Setting: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In An Acute Care Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Medical Center.
Knowledge Of Dysphagia And Other Swallowing Disorders: Experience And Expertise In The Assessment And Treatment Of Dysphagia And Other Swallowing Disorders Is Essential For A Speech Language Pathologist - Acute Care Position At Legacy Health.
