  1. Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the speech and language needs of pediatric patients.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language delays or disorders.
  3. Provide direct therapy services to pediatric patients using evidence-based techniques and strategies.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the rehabilitation team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  5. Communicate regularly with parents/caregivers to provide updates on progress and recommendations for home-based activities.
  6. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  7. Stay up-to-date on current research, techniques, and technologies related to pediatric speech and language therapy.
  8. Attend and participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and coordinate care.
  9. Advocate for and educate patients and their families on the importance of speech and language therapy.
  10. Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  11. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth.
  13. Foster a positive and supportive work environment for colleagues and patients.
  14. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  15. Represent Legacy Health and the pediatric therapy team in a professional and positive manner.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology Is Required For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Received Specialized Training In The Evaluation And Treatment Of Pediatric Speech And Language Disorders.

  • State Licensure And Certification: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid State License To Practice As A Speech-Language Pathologist And Be Certified By The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha). This Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Met The Highest Standards Of Education And Clinical Experience In The Field.

  • Experience In Pediatric Rehabilitation: Previous Experience Working With Pediatric Patients In A Rehabilitation Setting Is Highly Desirable For This Position. This Includes Experience With A Variety Of Speech And Language Disorders, As Well As Knowledge Of Developmental Milestones And Treatment Techniques For Children.

  • Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practice: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Evidence-Based Practice And The Ability To Integrate Current Research Into Clinical Decision-Making. This Includes Staying Up-To-Date On The Latest Advancements And Best Practices In Pediatric Speech And Language Therapy.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Speech-Language Pathologist Working With Pediatric Patients, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential. The Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Children And Their Families, As Well As Work Collaboratively With Other Healthcare Professionals. Empathy, Patience, And A Positive Attitude Are Also Important Qualities For This Role.
