Responsibilities:

  1. Assess and evaluate commercial insurance risks for potential clients by analyzing their business operations, financial statements, and other relevant information.

  3. Collaborate with brokers, agents, and other internal teams to gather necessary information and make informed decisions regarding risk management.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of underwriting activities, including relevant documentation and correspondence with clients.
  5. Communicate effectively with clients, agents, and other stakeholders to provide clear and concise explanations of underwriting decisions and address any inquiries or concerns.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and make informed underwriting decisions.
  7. Continuously monitor and review existing policies to identify potential risks and make recommendations for adjustments or updates.
  8. Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks through thorough analysis and risk assessment techniques.
  9. Contribute to the development and implementation of underwriting policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to company guidelines and standards.
  10. Provide support and training to junior underwriters to enhance their knowledge and skills in risk assessment and management.
  11. Collaborate with other departments, such as claims and legal, to resolve any complex underwriting issues and ensure a smooth and efficient process for clients.
  12. Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards while representing the company in all interactions with clients and partners.
