  1. Investigate and evaluate complex property and builders risk claims to determine coverage and liability.
  2. Conduct thorough and timely investigations, including gathering and analyzing relevant information and documentation.
  3. Communicate with policyholders, agents, and other parties involved in the claims process to gather information and provide updates on the status of claims.
  4. Negotiate and settle claims in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  5. Utilize knowledge of insurance contracts and industry standards to determine appropriate coverage and settlement amounts.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed claim files, including documentation of all activities and decisions made.
  7. Collaborate with other departments and teams within the company to ensure efficient and effective claims handling.
  8. Identify and investigate potential fraudulent claims and take appropriate action.
  9. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, changes in laws and regulations, and best practices for claims handling.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to policyholders and agents, addressing any questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  11. Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced claims adjusters on complex or high-value claims.
  12. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  13. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills.
  14. Represent the company in a professional manner and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  15. Handle all claims in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Property And Builders Risk Claims Adjusting, Preferably In A Senior Or Leadership Role.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Property And Builders Risk Insurance Policies, Coverage, And Claims Handling Procedures.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Evaluate And Negotiate Complex Claims.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Internal And External Stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Insurance, Risk Management, Or Construction, And Relevant Professional Certifications (E.g. Cpcu, Aic, Arm).
