- Develop and implement violence prevention strategies and protocols in collaboration with hospital leadership and community partners.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to violence prevention to ensure compliance and inform best practices.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in violence prevention and make recommendations for program enhancements and improvements.
- Collaborate with hospital staff, community organizations, and law enforcement to identify areas of concern and develop targeted interventions to address potential risks.
- Provide training and education opportunities for hospital staff and community members on violence prevention and response protocols.
- Serve as a liaison between the hospital and legal entities, providing guidance and support on legal matters related to violence prevention.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and agencies to promote violence prevention initiatives and support victims of violence.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of violence prevention programs, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Provide legal counsel and support to hospital leadership and staff in cases involving violence or potential violence.
- Represent the hospital in legal proceedings related to violence prevention, including but not limited to court appearances and depositions.
- Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to raise awareness and promote violence prevention initiatives and resources to the community.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to violence prevention efforts and incidents, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School
Active License To Practice Law In The State Of Maryland
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Violence Prevention, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting
Knowledge And Understanding Of State And Federal Laws Related To Violence Prevention And Workplace Safety
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Multidisciplinary Teams And Community Partners.
