  1. Monitor patients: The primary responsibility of a Patient Care Sitter is to closely monitor patients, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  2. Provide companionship: Patient Care Sitters are responsible for providing emotional support and companionship to patients, especially those who may feel anxious or lonely during their hospital stay.
  3. Assist with daily tasks: Patient Care Sitters may be required to assist patients with basic tasks such as eating, drinking, and using the restroom.
  4. Communicate with healthcare team: It is important for Patient Care Sitters to communicate any changes or concerns regarding the patient's condition to the healthcare team, including doctors and nurses.
  5. Maintain a safe environment: Patient Care Sitters are responsible for keeping the patient's room and surrounding area clean and free of hazards to prevent accidents and injuries.

  10. Attend training and meetings: Patient Care Sitters may be required to attend training sessions and team meetings to stay updated on protocols and procedures and discuss any concerns or challenges they may be facing on the job.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Or Medical Assistant (Ma) Certification

  • Cpr And Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Patient Care Role

  • Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members
