Phlebotomist

As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for performing venipunctures, finger sticks, and other blood collection procedures to collect specimens from patients of all ages. The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, possess a valid Phlebotomy certification, and have at least one year of experience in a laboratory setting. Responsibilities:

1. Perform venipunctures, finger sticks, and other blood collection procedures to collect specimens from patients of all ages.
2. Ensure accuracy of collected specimens and follow all protocols for specimen collection and handling.
3. Ensure patient safety and comfort during specimen collection.
4. Monitor and restock supplies as needed.
5. Document all specimen collection activities in patient records.
6. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
7. Work with other clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow.
8. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
9. Provide education and support to patients and families as needed.
10. Participate in continuing education to stay up to date on best practices.
