
Safety and Emergency Management Manager
LifeBridge Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Safety and Emergency Management Manager to join our team. - Develop and implement safety and emergency management protocols and procedures to ensure the protection of patients, employees, and visitors.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential safety hazards within the organization.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure all safety protocols are being followed and make recommendations for improvement when necessary.
- Stay current with safety regulations and industry best practices to continuously improve the organization's safety program.
- Develop and conduct training programs to educate employees on safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Lead emergency response drills and exercises to test the organization's readiness in the event of an emergency.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety and emergency management related inquiries and concerns.
- Investigate and report any safety incidents or near-misses, and make recommendations for corrective actions.
- Monitor and maintain safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers and emergency kits, to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external emergency response agencies and serve as the organization's representative during emergency situations.
- Prepare and maintain emergency management plans, including evacuation procedures, shelter-in-place protocols, and business continuity plans.
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and identify any areas for improvement.
- Monitor and analyze safety data and statistics to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Train and supervise a team of safety and emergency management staff to ensure all tasks and responsibilities are carried out effectively.
- Communicate regularly with senior management to provide updates on the organization's safety and emergency management program and make recommendations for improvement.
Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management, Occupational Health And Safety, Or A Related Field.
Previous Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Safety And Emergency Management Regulations And Guidelines, Such As Osha, Nfpa, And Cms Requirements.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Train And Educate Staff On Emergency Procedures.
Certification In Emergency Management, Such As Certified Emergency Manager (Cem) Or Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (Chep).
