As a Home Medical Equipment Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients have access to the medical equipment they need to live comfortably in their homes.   1. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on a variety of home medical equipment, including oxygen tanks, CPAP machines, and wheelchairs.
  2. Deliver and set up medical equipment in patients' homes, ensuring proper installation and functionality.
  3. Educate patients and their caregivers on the proper use and care of medical equipment.
  4. Communicate with healthcare professionals and patients' families to coordinate equipment needs and ensure timely delivery.
  5. Keep accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance, and repairs.
  6. Respond to emergency equipment requests and provide timely solutions.
  7. Provide excellent customer service and address any patient concerns or questions.
  8. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in home medical equipment.
  10. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations and the highest level of patient care.
  11. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory guidelines.
  12. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and maintain HIPAA compliance.
  14. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Typically Required For A Home Medical Equipment Technician Position At Lincare Holdings. Therefore, Strong Customer Service Skills, Including Effective Communication And Empathy, Are Essential. Candidates Should Also Be Able To Explain How To Use Medical Equipment To Patients And Answer Any Questions They May Have.

  • Attention To Detail: Home Medical Equipment Technicians Must Be Detail-Oriented And Able To Follow Strict Protocols To Ensure The Proper Use And Maintenance Of Medical Equipment. They Must Also Keep Detailed Records Of Equipment Usage And Repairs, So Attention To Detail Is Critical To This Role.
