RN - Pre-Op / Same Day Surgery

Logan Health is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pre-Op / Same Day Surgery team. Our ideal candidate is a compassionate and organized individual who is eager to make a positive impact on patient care.As a RN - Pre-Op / Same Day Surgery, you will be responsible for providing care to patients prior to and during same day surgery procedures. You will ensure patients are prepared for surgery and manage the patient’s care throughout the entire procedure. The ability to assess, plan, and implement patient care is essential to this role.The successful candidate must possess a valid RN license, as well as experience in pre-operative and same day surgery nursing. They must also demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is also essential.

Responsibilities:

1. Assess patient care needs prior to and during same day surgery procedures.
2. Ensure patients are prepared for surgery.
3. Manage patient care throughout the entire procedure.
4. Develop and implement patient care plans.
5. Monitor patient’s condition throughout procedure.
6. Provide thorough pre and post-operative patient education.
7. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
8. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care.
10. Follow all hospital policies and procedures.
