
Specialty Pharmacy Technician
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Specialty Pharmacy Technician to join the Logan Health team. Our ideal candidate should be passionate about providing excellent customer service and have a strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and the healthcare industry. The successful candidate will be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician, you will assist the pharmacist in the preparation and distribution of medications. The primary responsibility of this role will be to accurately review patient information, compound medications, and fill prescriptions. Additionally, you will ensure that all pertinent information is recorded accurately and that all orders are delivered in a timely manner. The ideal candidate for this role will have a high school diploma, relevant certification from a pharmacy technician program, and a minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience. In addition, we are looking for someone with strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations is also preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately review patient information and fill prescriptions.
- Compound medications according to established protocols.
- Assist the pharmacist in the preparation and distribution of medications.
- Ensure all pertinent information is recorded accurately
- Deliver orders in a timely manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for medications and supplies.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay current with pharmacy regulations and laws.
