Medical Assistant

At Lovelace Health System, we are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant who can bring a warm and friendly presence to our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in medical assisting and the desire to provide quality patient care. The Medical Assistant must possess a Medical Assistant Certification/Diploma and have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting. We are seeking a professional who is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent customer service. The Medical Assistant should be comfortable working in a fast-paced and challenging environment and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, the candidate must have the ability to maintain patient confidentiality and be proficient in the use of medical technology.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet and check in patients.
2. Collect patient information and obtain vital signs.
3. Prepare patient rooms for examinations.
4. Assist physicians with patient examinations and treatments.
5. Administer medications as directed by physician.
6. Provide patient education and follow-up instructions.
7. Schedule patient appointments and provide reminders.
8. Prepare and maintain accurate medical records.
9. Order and stock supplies as needed.
10. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of medical facility.
11. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other applicable laws and regulations.
12. Ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
13. Utilize medical technology to provide quality patient care.
14. Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills in all interactions.
15. Handle patient inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
16. Participate in continuing education opportunities as requested.
