Job Description

At Lovelace Health System, we are searching for an experienced PBX Operator to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be a customer-focused professional, dedicated to providing excellent customer service. The successful applicant will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with an ability to multitask and prioritize as needed.The PBX Operator will be responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing calls and providing assistance to staff, patients, and visitors. They should possess excellent customer service skills, be able to greet visitors, and answer and transfer calls quickly and efficiently.To be considered for this role, the candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have at least one year of experience in a similar role. Other desired qualifications include familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite and experience with VoIP phone systems. The successful applicant should have the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment, maintain a professional and courteous demeanor, and handle all calls with the utmost professionalism.

Responsibilities of a PBX Operator:

  1. Managing all incoming and outgoing calls and providing assistance to staff, patients, and visitors.
  2. Greeting visitors and answering and transferring calls quickly and efficiently.
  3. Ensuring that all calls are handled with the utmost professionalism.
  4. Maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Responding to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  6. Troubleshooting any technical issues related to the PBX system.
  7. Updating and maintaining customer databases.
  8. Monitoring call traffic and adjusting staffing requirements accordingly.
  9. Adhering to all standards and procedures set by the organization.
  10. Assisting with any other tasks as required.
