- Collaborate with the Chief People Officer to develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve company culture and support the growth of our talented team.
- Provide high-level support to the Chief People Officer, including managing their schedule, preparing for meetings, and coordinating with other departments.
- Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making and provide recommendations for improvement in areas such as employee engagement, retention, and diversity and inclusion.
- Act as a liaison between the Chief People Officer and other departments, ensuring effective communication and alignment on company goals and initiatives.
- Manage and execute complex projects and initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Monitor and track the progress of key initiatives and report back to the Chief People Officer with updates and recommendations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of diversity and inclusion strategies to create an inclusive and equitable workplace for all employees.
- Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement effective employee engagement and recognition programs.
- Conduct regular reviews of company policies and procedures to ensure they align with company values and goals.
- Represent the Chief People Officer and the HR department in meetings and events, both internally and externally.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in human resources to continuously improve our processes and initiatives.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting Lyft's core values and mission.
- Act as a mentor and coach to other members of the HR team, providing guidance and support as needed.
Extensive Human Resources Experience: A Chief Of Staff To The Chief People Officer At Lyft Should Have A Strong Background In Human Resources, With At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Hr Laws And Regulations, As Well As Experience Managing Employee Relations And Performance Management.
Strategic Thinking: The Chief Of Staff Should Have A Strong Ability To Think Strategically And Provide Input On Long-Term Plans And Goals For The Human Resources Department. This Includes Developing And Implementing Strategies For Talent Acquisition, Retention, And Development.
Excellent Communication Skills: As A Key Liaison Between The Chief People Officer And Other Departments, The Chief Of Staff Should Possess Excellent Communication Skills. This Includes The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Information, As Well As Strong Listening And Interpersonal Skills.
Leadership And Management Experience: The Chief Of Staff Should Have Experience Managing And Leading A Team Of Hr Professionals. This Includes The Ability To Provide Guidance And Support To Team Members, As Well As Delegate Tasks And Make Difficult Decisions When Necessary.
Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Chief Of Staff Should Possess Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Assist The Chief People Officer In Making Data-Driven Decisions. This Includes The Ability To Analyze Hr Data And Metrics And Provide Insights And Recommendations For Improvement.
