  1. Develop and maintain visual merchandising strategies that align with the overall branding and marketing goals of Macy's.
  2. Create and implement visually appealing displays and layouts to showcase products and attract customers.
  3. Collaborate with the buying and marketing teams to ensure visual merchandising is consistent with product offerings and promotions.
  4. Train and lead a team of visual merchandisers to execute high-quality installations and displays.
  5. Monitor and analyze sales data to make informed decisions about product placement and display effectiveness.
  6. Conduct regular store walks to ensure visual standards are being met and make necessary adjustments.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor strategies to continuously improve visual merchandising techniques.
  8. Manage and allocate resources to ensure visual merchandising budgets are met.
  9. Communicate with store management to provide updates on visual merchandising initiatives and seek feedback.
  10. Act as a brand ambassador and maintain a strong understanding of Macy's brand and values.
  11. Uphold visual standards and ensure the store's visual aesthetic is consistent throughout all departments.
  12. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to secure the best merchandise and materials for displays.
  13. Ensure all visual merchandising equipment and supplies are properly maintained and utilized.
  14. Promote a positive and inclusive work environment for the visual merchandising team.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities to improve the overall shopping experience for customers through visual merchandising techniques.

  • Strong Visual Merchandising Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Visual Merchandising, Preferably In A Retail Environment. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Creating Visually Appealing Displays That Drive Sales And Enhance The Overall Shopping Experience For Customers.

  • Creative Eye For Design: A Successful Manager Of Visual Merchandising Should Have A Keen Eye For Design And A Strong Understanding Of Current Trends In The Retail Industry. They Should Be Able To Conceptualize And Execute Displays That Showcase Products In An Attractive And Innovative Way.

  • Leadership Skills: As A Manager, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Visual Merchandisers. Therefore, They Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Provide Constructive Feedback, And Motivate Team Members To Achieve Goals.

  • Attention To Detail: Visual Merchandising Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail To Ensure That Displays Are Executed Accurately And According To Brand Standards. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Eye For Detail And The Ability To Maintain Consistency Across Multiple Displays.

  • Communication And Collaboration Skills: In Addition To Working With Their Own Team, A Manager Of Visual Merchandising At Macy's Will Also Need To Collaborate With Other Departments, Such As Buying And Marketing.
