- Provide exceptional healthcare services to athletes of all levels, including high school and professional athletes.
- Work closely with patients to prevent, diagnose, and treat injuries.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each athlete.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for athletes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient.
- Educate athletes on injury prevention and proper techniques for training and recovery.
- Stay current with advancements in sports medicine and incorporate new techniques and treatments into practice.
- Communicate with coaches and athletic staff to coordinate care and facilitate safe return to play.
- Serve as a resource for athletes, coaches, and staff on injury prevention and sports performance.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the delivery of healthcare services.
- Maintain a compassionate and professional demeanor when working with patients and their families.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for athletes.
- Actively contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Advocate for the importance of sports medicine and the role of athletic trainers in healthcare.
Bachelor's Degree In Athletic Training Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Certification By The Board Of Certification (Boc) For Athletic Trainers.
State Licensure As An Athletic Trainer In Maine.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working As An Athletic Trainer, Preferably In A Clinical Or Hospital Setting.
Knowledge Of Current Best Practices And Techniques In Injury Prevention, Evaluation, Treatment, And Rehabilitation For Athletes Of All Levels.
