Job Description

Welcome to Mainehealth, a leading healthcare provider in the state of Maine. We are currently seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team and help maintain a safe and comfortable environment for our patients and staff. This is a vital role in our organization as you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and a passion for providing quality service.   1. Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in various Mainehealth facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and administrative buildings.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify any potential issues.
  3. Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system problems and determine appropriate solutions in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Perform necessary repairs and replacements of HVAC components, such as compressors, motors, and thermostats.
  5. Monitor and adjust HVAC system controls to maintain proper temperature, humidity, and air quality levels.
  6. Respond to emergency service calls and address urgent HVAC issues to minimize disruptions to patient care.
  7. Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to coordinate work schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  8. Keep accurate records of all HVAC maintenance and repairs performed, including parts used and labor hours.
  9. Stay current on industry advancements and best practices in HVAC technology and incorporate new techniques and equipment into job responsibilities.
  10. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures when working with HVAC systems, including handling refrigerants and electrical components.
  11. Communicate effectively with supervisors and other staff members to provide updates on HVAC system status and maintain a collaborative work environment.
  12. Maintain a professional and customer-oriented attitude when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff members.
  13. Maintain an organized and well-stocked inventory of HVAC supplies and equipment.
  14. Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and standards related to HVAC systems.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and quality service in all aspects of the job.
