
Inpatient Psychiatrist - Consult Liaison

- Provide high-quality psychiatric care to patients in the inpatient setting.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine appropriate care.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Stay current on new developments and treatment methods in the field of psychiatry.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients and their families.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
- Adhere to all ethical, legal, and professional standards in the practice of psychiatry.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Proactively identify and address any potential mental health issues in patients.
- Serve as a resource and consultant for other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment.
- Prioritize patient safety and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Medical Degree: A Candidate For This Position Must Hold A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.
Board Certification: The Candidate Must Be Board Certified In Psychiatry By The American Board Of Psychiatry And Neurology (Abpn) Or The American Osteopathic Board Of Neurology And Psychiatry (Aobnp).
Residency Training: The Candidate Must Have Completed An Accredited Residency Program In Psychiatry. Additional Training Or Fellowship In Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Is Preferred.
Licensure: The Candidate Must Be Licensed To Practice Medicine In The State Of Maine, Or Be Eligible For Licensure.
Experience: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Clinical Experience As A Psychiatrist, With A Focus On Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Is Required. Previous Experience Working In A Hospital Or Other Inpatient Setting Is Preferred.
