Welcome to Mainehealth! We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our Consult Liaison team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric care to patients in our inpatient setting.   1. Provide high-quality psychiatric care to patients in the inpatient setting.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  3. Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine appropriate care.
  4. Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  6. Stay current on new developments and treatment methods in the field of psychiatry.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  8. Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients and their families.
  9. Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
  10. Adhere to all ethical, legal, and professional standards in the practice of psychiatry.
  11. Participate in ongoing education and training to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  12. Proactively identify and address any potential mental health issues in patients.
  13. Serve as a resource and consultant for other healthcare professionals.
  14. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  15. Foster a positive and supportive work environment.
  16. Prioritize patient safety and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Candidate For This Position Must Hold A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Board Certification: The Candidate Must Be Board Certified In Psychiatry By The American Board Of Psychiatry And Neurology (Abpn) Or The American Osteopathic Board Of Neurology And Psychiatry (Aobnp).

  • Residency Training: The Candidate Must Have Completed An Accredited Residency Program In Psychiatry. Additional Training Or Fellowship In Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Is Preferred.

  • Licensure: The Candidate Must Be Licensed To Practice Medicine In The State Of Maine, Or Be Eligible For Licensure.

  • Experience: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Clinical Experience As A Psychiatrist, With A Focus On Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Is Required. Previous Experience Working In A Hospital Or Other Inpatient Setting Is Preferred.
