
Manager - Acute Care Pharmacy Clinical Services

- Oversee all clinical operations within the acute care pharmacy, including developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as industry standards.
- Manage a team of pharmacy professionals, providing guidance, support, and coaching to promote a positive and productive work environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement strategies for improving patient outcomes.
- Monitor and analyze pharmacy performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for all clinical aspects of pharmacy operations, providing guidance and support to staff as needed.
- Ensure the proper handling and storage of medications and pharmaceutical supplies, in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular audits of pharmacy processes and procedures to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of medications and supplies.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements, and make recommendations for incorporating new technologies and processes into pharmacy operations.
- Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations of pharmacy staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development among pharmacy staff.
- Collaborate with other department managers and leaders to promote interdisciplinary teamwork and communication.
- Participate in budget planning and management for the pharmacy department.
- Represent the pharmacy department in meetings with hospital leadership and other stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to address any concerns or issues related to pharmacy services.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment, following all infection control and safety protocols.
- Adhere to and promote ethical standards and professional code of conduct.
Bachelor's Or Doctor Of Pharmacy Degree From An Accredited Institution: A Manager Of Acute Care Pharmacy Clinical Services Should Have A Strong Foundation In Pharmacy Education To Effectively Oversee Clinical Services In A Hospital Setting.
Active Pharmacist License In The State Of Maine: This Role Requires A Current And Valid Pharmacist License In The State Of Maine To Ensure Compliance With State Regulations And Laws.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Clinical Pharmacy Experience: A Manager Of Acute Care Pharmacy Clinical Services Should Have A Solid Background In Clinical Pharmacy, With Experience In A Hospital Or Acute Care Setting.
Leadership And Management Experience: This Role Requires Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With The Ability To Oversee A Team Of Pharmacists And Technicians And Effectively Manage Resources And Budgets.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Manager Of Acute Care Pharmacy Clinical Services Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Healthcare Professionals, Patients, And Other Stakeholders In A Clear And Professional Manner. Strong Interpersonal Skills Are Also Necessary To Build And Maintain Relationships With Team Members And Other Departments Within The Healthcare Organization.
