- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new paramedics, ensuring a strong and cohesive team.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Current Paramedic Certification: A Qualified Candidate For The Paramedic Lead Position At Mainehealth Should Possess A Current And Active Paramedic Certification From An Accredited Institution.
Leadership Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role, Preferably In The Field Of Emergency Medical Services. This Experience Should Include Managing A Team, Developing Protocols And Procedures, And Effectively Communicating With Staff And Superiors.
Advanced Life Support (Als) Training: Mainehealth Requires All Paramedic Leads To Have Completed Advanced Life Support Training, Including Skills Such As Intubation, Iv Therapy, And Medication Administration. Candidates With Additional Certifications Such As Pals (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) And Acls (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Will Be Given Preference.
Strong Communication Skills: As A Paramedic Lead, Effective Communication Is Essential For Coordinating With Emergency Responders, Hospital Staff, And Patients. Candidates Must Possess Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills And Be Able To Remain Calm And Professional In High-Stress Situations.
Problem-Solving Abilities: The Paramedic Lead Position At Mainehealth Requires The Ability To Think Critically And Make Quick Decisions In Emergency Situations. Candidates Should Be Able To Assess Complex Situations And Develop Effective Solutions, While Also Being Adaptable And Able To Handle Unexpected Challenges.
