  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients to determine their individual needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  2. Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to address the physical, cognitive, and emotional needs of children.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and speech therapists, to ensure holistic and coordinated care for patients.
  4. Educate parents and caregivers on strategies to support their child's progress and carry over therapy techniques at home.
  5. Stay current with advancements in pediatric occupational therapy techniques and research to continuously improve care for patients.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient evaluations, progress, and treatment plans.
  7. Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for patients and their families, promoting a positive and comfortable therapy experience.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to provide updates on treatment progress and address any concerns.
  9. Adhere to all ethical and professional standards in the delivery of occupational therapy services.
  10. Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and contribute to the growth of the department.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Occupational Therapy: A Degree In Occupational Therapy From An Accredited University Is A Basic Requirement For This Job.

  • State License: A Valid State License To Practice As An Occupational Therapist In The State Of Maine Is Mandatory For This Position.

  • Specialization In Pediatric Occupational Therapy: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Specialized Knowledge And Experience In Working With Children And Adolescents In A Clinical Setting.

  • Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Pediatric Setting, Is Highly Desirable For This Role.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Children, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Crucial For Success In This Role.
