- Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients to determine their individual needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to address the physical, cognitive, and emotional needs of children.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and speech therapists, to ensure holistic and coordinated care for patients.
- Educate parents and caregivers on strategies to support their child's progress and carry over therapy techniques at home.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric occupational therapy techniques and research to continuously improve care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient evaluations, progress, and treatment plans.
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for patients and their families, promoting a positive and comfortable therapy experience.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to provide updates on treatment progress and address any concerns.
- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards in the delivery of occupational therapy services.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and contribute to the growth of the department.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Occupational Therapy: A Degree In Occupational Therapy From An Accredited University Is A Basic Requirement For This Job.
State License: A Valid State License To Practice As An Occupational Therapist In The State Of Maine Is Mandatory For This Position.
Specialization In Pediatric Occupational Therapy: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Specialized Knowledge And Experience In Working With Children And Adolescents In A Clinical Setting.
Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Pediatric Setting, Is Highly Desirable For This Role.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Children, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Crucial For Success In This Role.
