  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for students.

  11. Advocate for the needs of students with autism and developmental disorders within the school system.
  12. Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  13. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in nursing practice.
  14. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for students.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Rn License In The State Of Maine: A Qualified Candidate For This Position Must Possess A Current And Active Rn License In The State Of Maine, Demonstrating Their Education And Training In Nursing.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: Mainehealth Requires A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing For This Role, Ensuring That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory And Practice.

  • Experience Working With Children With Autism And Developmental Disorders: As A School Nurse, The Ability To Work With Children Who Have Autism And Developmental Disorders Is Essential. Candidates For This Position Should Have Prior Experience In This Area, Demonstrating Their Understanding And Competency In Caring For These Special Needs Students.

  • Cpr And First Aid Certification: To Ensure The Safety Of Students Under Their Care, Mainehealth Requires Candidates To Possess Current Cpr And First Aid Certifications. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Prepared To Respond To Any Medical Emergencies That May Arise While Working In A School Setting.
