We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Technician Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong background in mechanical maintenance, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar position. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred, but not required. Additionally, you must have excellent problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. As a Principal Technician, you must also have strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members at all levels.   1. Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment and facilities to ensure optimal operation and minimize downtime.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, and develop effective solutions to repair and prevent future problems.
  3. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and implement improvements to processes and systems, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
  4. Lead and train a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in maintenance technology, and make recommendations for their implementation.
  6. Accurately document maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  7. Communicate regularly with supervisors and other team members to provide updates on maintenance activities and discuss any potential issues or concerns.
  8. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe work environment for all team members.
  9. Manage and maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring adequate supply for maintenance needs.
  10. Collaborate with outside contractors and vendors as needed for specialized maintenance tasks.
  11. Develop and maintain maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure timely and effective completion of tasks.
  12. Assist in the development and management of maintenance budgets, monitoring and controlling costs to stay within budget.
  13. Act as a role model for the company's values and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and systems, and implement changes to drive efficiency and cost savings.
  15. Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours maintenance emergencies.

  • Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Mechanical Systems: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Mechanical Equipment And Systems, Including Troubleshooting And Repairs.

  • Proficiency In Maintenance And Repair Techniques: A Principal Technician Maintenance Mechanic Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Maintenance And Repair Processes, Including Preventative Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, And Equipment Upgrades.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: As A Principal Technician, This Role Will Require The Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Of Maintenance Mechanics. Strong Leadership And Team-Building Skills Are Essential.

  • Experience In A Manufacturing Environment: Candidates Should Have Experience Working In A Manufacturing Environment, Ideally In The Food And Beverage Industry. This Includes Knowledge Of Safety Protocols And Compliance Regulations.

  • Excellent Problem-Solving Abilities: The Ability To Quickly Identify Problems And Develop Effective Solutions Is Crucial For This Role. Candidates Should Be Able To Troubleshoot And Resolve Complex Mechanical Issues Efficiently.
