
GNC Engineer
You will develop our flight control algorithms, state estimators, enhanced features like detect and avoid, precision landing and take-off system, increasing efficiency for longer-range flights, and improved safety systems. Maintain and provide support for Matternet’s existing open-source flight software stack. Investigate and diagnose aircraft issues by analyzing logs, performing experiments, and simulations where needed. Evaluate emerging technologies, sensors, and controller updates to improve vehicle control and performance in all phases of flight as well as system-level reliability. Work closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team to design, develop, and test a highly-reliable, performant, and safe aircraft.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in an algorithm development and simulation framework such as matlab
A minimum of 5 years experience with dynamics, control theory, and state estimators for 6 DOF aircraft
Familiarity with multi-modality sensor fusion and INS/GPS navigation system development.
Familiar with developing software in real-time operating systems.
