- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and other members of the treatment team to ensure accurate and effective treatment delivery.
- Perform quality assurance checks on treatment plans and equipment to ensure patient safety and treatment accuracy.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of treatment plans and patient progress.
- Stay current on advancements and best practices in medical physics and radiation therapy.
- Communicate with patients and their families to explain treatment plans and address any questions or concerns.
- Educate and train new staff members on dosimetry techniques and procedures.

- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of new treatment protocols and procedures.
- Provide compassionate and supportive care to patients throughout their treatment journey.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with patients and their families.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed during the treatment process.
- Collaborate with insurance companies and other external parties to obtain necessary authorizations and approvals for treatment.
- Continuously evaluate and improve dosimetry processes to enhance patient care and treatment outcomes.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Medical Physics, Radiological Sciences, Or Related Field
Certification By The American Association Of Medical Dosimetrists (Aamd)
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience As A Dosimetrist In A Clinical Setting
Knowledge Of Treatment Planning Systems And Advanced Technology, Such As Imrt, Vmat, And Sbrt
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With Attention To Detail And Accuracy In Calculations And Treatment Plans.
