- Ensure that all assigned areas are clean, sanitized, and well-maintained at all times.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and guidelines to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
- Empty and dispose of trash and hazardous materials in a safe and efficient manner.
- Restock and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Respond promptly to any spills, accidents, or other cleaning emergencies.
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment for specific areas and surfaces.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department.
- Communicate with patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Follow all infection control protocols to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
- Attend training sessions and meetings to stay updated on new cleaning techniques and protocols.
- Maintain a positive and helpful attitude towards patients, visitors, and staff.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the EVS supervisor or department manager.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow HIPAA guidelines.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Required For This Position.
Previous Cleaning Experience: Prior Experience In A Cleaning Or Housekeeping Role Is Preferred, As Evs Associates Are Responsible For Maintaining A Clean And Sanitary Environment.
Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Objects: Evs Associates May Be Required To Move Heavy Equipment Or Furniture, So Physical Strength And The Ability To Lift And Move Objects Is Important.
Attention To Detail: This Position Requires Attention To Detail To Ensure All Areas Are Thoroughly Cleaned And Sanitized According To Mayo Clinic Standards.
Strong Communication Skills: Evs Associates Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Team Members And Other Staff Members To Coordinate Cleaning Schedules And Address Any Issues Or Concerns.
