Job Description

Mayo Clinic is seeking a highly motivated, passionate, and experienced Physician Assistant - Breast/Melanoma to join our exceptional team. Our ideal candidate will have a background in medical and surgical oncology, and be committed to providing the highest quality care to patients and their families. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience working in an oncology setting, with a preference for those with experience in the breast or melanoma field. The ideal candidate will be a team player, focused on delivering compassionate and comprehensive care to all patients.The Physician Assistant - Breast/Melanoma position requires a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies, certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), and a valid state license. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills, and be dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to excellence and a passion for patient care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients in the breast/melanoma field.
  2. Perform medical and surgical procedures in an oncology setting.
  3. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver the highest quality of care to patients and their families.
  4. Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient documentation.
  5. Keep up-to-date with relevant medical advances and guidelines.
  6. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  7. Educate patients and their families on proper health care and disease prevention.
  8. Maintain strict patient confidentiality.
  9. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
