Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Typically Required For A Registered Nurse - Wound Ostomy Continence Position At Mayo Clinic. Candidates With A Master's Degree In Nursing Or A Related Field May Also Be Preferred.
Current Rn License: All Applicants Must Have A Current, Unrestricted Rn License To Practice In The State Where The Position Is Located. This License Must Be Maintained Throughout Employment At Mayo Clinic.
Wound, Ostomy, And Continence (Woc) Certification: Candidates Must Have A Wound, Ostomy, And Continence (Woc) Certification From A Nationally Recognized Organization, Such As The Wound, Ostomy, And Continence Nursing Certification Board (Wocncb). This Certification Demonstrates Advanced Knowledge And Skills In The Care Of Patients With Complex Wound, Ostomy, And Continence Issues.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Woc Nursing: Mayo Clinic Typically Requires At Least 2 Years Of Experience As A Woc Nurse For This Position. This Experience Should Include Direct Patient Care, As Well As Experience In Wound, Ostomy, And Continence Education And Management.
Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: As A Registered Nurse - Wound Ostomy Continence At Mayo Clinic, Candidates Must Possess Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills.
