Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Health Information Management Or Release Of Information: Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting And Handling Sensitive Patient Information Is Crucial For Success In This Role.
Strong Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws Related To Health Information Management: The Specialist Must Be Well-Versed And Up-To-Date On Applicable Laws And Regulations, Such As Hipaa And The Hitech Act.
