Job Description

At McCormick & Company, we are looking for a passionate and driven Product Development Scientist to join our team. As a Product Development Scientist, you will be a part of our dynamic and innovative R&D team and have the opportunity to develop, launch, and manage products from conception to commercialization. The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor's degree in food science, a strong understanding of food chemistry and food processing, and experience managing product development from concept to commercialization. In addition to having a strong technical background, we are looking for an individual who is creative, a team player, and able to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities of a Product Development Scientist:

  • Lead product development from concept to commercialization
  • Develop product specifications that meet customer requirements
  • Design test protocols and analyze test results
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product development success
  • Utilize food chemistry, food processing, and food science to ensure product quality
  • Manage and execute projects and initiatives from concept to completion
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies to identify new opportunities and ideas for product development
