  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive government relations strategy that aligns with McDonald's overall business objectives.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key government officials and stakeholders at the federal, state, and local levels.
  3. Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments that could impact McDonald's business operations and proactively communicate them to senior leadership.
  4. Represent McDonald's in meetings and hearings with government officials and policymakers, advocating for the company's interests and priorities.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, conduct research, and develop messaging to support government relations efforts.
  6. Manage a budget for government relations activities and ensure efficient use of resources.
  7. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in government relations, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  8. Act as a spokesperson for McDonald's on government relations matters, both internally and externally.
  9. Develop and maintain a network of industry peers and government relations professionals to stay informed and exchange knowledge.
  10. Provide guidance and support to regional and local government relations teams to ensure consistency and alignment with the company's overall strategy.
  11. Stay updated on relevant political campaigns and elections, and develop strategies to engage with candidates and elected officials.
  12. Communicate with franchisees and other stakeholders about government relations activities and solicit their support and involvement.
  13. Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to senior leadership and the board of directors on government relations activities and outcomes.
  14. Uphold McDonald's values and ethical standards in all interactions with government officials and stakeholders.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Political Science, Government Relations, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Government Relations, Preferably With A Focus On The Us Federal Government.

  • Strong Understanding Of Us Political Landscape And Legislative Processes.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills.

  • Experience Managing A Team And Developing And Implementing Government Relations Strategies.
