- Provide legal counsel and guidance to the organization on all matters related to employment law, including but not limited to hiring, termination, discrimination, harassment, and employee benefits.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance with employment laws.
- Review and draft employment-related policies, contracts, and agreements.
- Advise on employee relations issues and provide guidance to management and HR teams on handling sensitive employment matters.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed to manage employment-related litigation.
- Monitor and advise on changes in labor laws and regulations that may impact the organization.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Develop and conduct employee training programs on relevant employment laws and policies.
- Work closely with other members of the legal team to ensure consistency and compliance across all legal matters.
- Foster a culture of diversity and inclusion by providing guidance and support to the organization's diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Communicate legal advice and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings related to employment matters.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and make recommendations for improvements to current policies and practices.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as HR and finance, to ensure legal compliance in all aspects of employment.
- Assist with other legal matters and projects as needed.
Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School
Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience Practicing Employment Law, Preferably At A Top Law Firm Or In-House At A Large Corporation
Strong Understanding Of Federal And State Employment Laws, Regulations, And Best Practices
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Advise And Collaborate With Senior Executives And Hr Professionals
Demonstrated Ability To Manage A High Volume Of Complex Legal Matters And Provide Strategic Guidance On Employment-Related Issues.
