- Provide exceptional dining services to patients, ensuring their well-being and satisfaction.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines and individual patient needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining and kitchen areas.
- Handle food and supplies in a safe and efficient manner, following proper food handling and storage protocols.
- Assist with kitchen and dining room setup and cleanup before and after meals.
- Monitor and record food and supply inventory levels, notifying supervisor when supplies need to be reordered.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations, including proper handwashing and personal protective equipment usage.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Continuously strive to improve and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Dietary/Utility Aide At Medstar Health Should Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Or Food Service Setting: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience In A Healthcare Or Food Service Environment, As It Will Help Them Understand The Specific Needs And Protocols Of Medstar Health.
Knowledge Of Proper Food Handling And Sanitation Techniques: A Dietary/Utility Aide Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Food Safety And Sanitation Guidelines In Order To Maintain A Clean And Safe Environment For Patients.
Ability To Follow Instructions And Work Independently: As Part Of A Busy Healthcare Team, A Dietary/Utility Aide Must Be Able To Follow Instructions Closely And Work Independently When Necessary.
