  1. Provide exceptional dining services to patients, ensuring their well-being and satisfaction.
  2. Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines and individual patient needs.
  3. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining and kitchen areas.
  4. Handle food and supplies in a safe and efficient manner, following proper food handling and storage protocols.
  5. Assist with kitchen and dining room setup and cleanup before and after meals.
  6. Monitor and record food and supply inventory levels, notifying supervisor when supplies need to be reordered.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure a positive dining experience.
  8. Adhere to all safety and health regulations, including proper handwashing and personal protective equipment usage.
  9. Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  10. Continuously strive to improve and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  11. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations in the kitchen and dining areas.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Dietary/Utility Aide At Medstar Health Should Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.

  • Previous Experience In A Healthcare Or Food Service Setting: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience In A Healthcare Or Food Service Environment, As It Will Help Them Understand The Specific Needs And Protocols Of Medstar Health.

  • Knowledge Of Proper Food Handling And Sanitation Techniques: A Dietary/Utility Aide Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Food Safety And Sanitation Guidelines In Order To Maintain A Clean And Safe Environment For Patients.

  • Ability To Follow Instructions And Work Independently: As Part Of A Busy Healthcare Team, A Dietary/Utility Aide Must Be Able To Follow Instructions Closely And Work Independently When Necessary.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Coworkers, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Essential For A Dietary/Utility Aide, As They Will Be Interacting With Individuals From Diverse Backgrounds On A Daily Basis.
