  1. Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures on patients of all ages in a safe and efficient manner.
  2. Accurately label and process specimens for laboratory testing.
  3. Maintain proper documentation and record keeping of all phlebotomy procedures.
  4. Follow all necessary safety protocols and infection control measures.
  5. Provide excellent customer service to patients by ensuring a comfortable and positive experience during blood draws.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate specimen collection.
  7. Keep up-to-date with current phlebotomy techniques and equipment through continuous training and education.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  9. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and superiors.
  11. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or problems that may arise during phlebotomy procedures.
  12. Maintain inventory and supplies necessary for phlebotomy procedures.
  13. Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.
  14. Flexibility to work different shifts and locations as needed.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Cpt) - The Candidate Should Have A Valid Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The National Phlebotomy Association (Npa).

  • Knowledge Of Phlebotomy Procedures - The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Phlebotomy Techniques, Including Venipuncture, Capillary Puncture, And Blood Collection From Different Age Groups And Populations.

  • Familiarity With Medical Terminology - A Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology Is Essential For Accurately Identifying And Labeling Blood Samples And Communicating With Healthcare Professionals.

  • Attention To Detail And Accuracy - As A Phlebotomy Technician, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Collecting And Labeling Blood Samples, Ensuring Accuracy Is Crucial To Avoid Errors That Could Impact Patient Care.

  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills - The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Other Team Members In A Professional And Compassionate Manner. This Is Essential For Creating A Positive Patient Experience.
